Our Theology

What we believe

Truth that leads to worship and life.

Christian doctrine is not merely a collection of ideas. It is the church’s faithful confession of the Triune God revealed in Scripture—a confession that shapes our worship, our common life, and our witness to the world.

Our theological commitments

Four convictions that shape our life together.

The Holy Scriptures are our only infallible rule of faith and practice. These four commitments summarize how we receive, confess, and live according to that Word.

01

Confessional

We stand within the historic Christian faith confessed by the church through the centuries, including the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. As a Reformed congregation, we receive the Westminster Confession of Faith together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as faithful summaries of the system of doctrine taught in Scripture.

Our confessions do not stand above the Bible. They help the church speak clearly, teach carefully, and remain accountable to the whole counsel of God.

02

Presbyterian

Jesus Christ alone is King and Head of the Church. He shepherds his people through officers appointed in Scripture: elders who oversee the doctrine and spiritual care of the church, and deacons who lead its ministry of mercy and practical service.

Teaching elders and ruling elders serve together, the congregation elects its officers, and our church is connected and accountable to other churches through the courts of the Presbyterian Church in America.

03

Communal

God does not call Christians to follow Christ in isolation. He gathers us as a covenant people to worship on the Lord’s Day, receive the means of grace, bear one another’s burdens, practice hospitality, and grow together in holiness.

Our theology therefore takes visible form in reverent worship, shared fellowship, pastoral care, Christian education, and the ordinary faithfulness of life together.

04

Gospel-Focused

The good news is that the eternal Son of God became man to save sinners. Jesus Christ lived in perfect obedience, died in the place of his people, rose bodily from the grave, ascended in glory, and will come again.

We are reconciled to God by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We therefore call every person to repent, believe the gospel, and follow Christ as Lord.

Doctrine in practice

Our theology shapes our worship.

Because God reveals himself and gathers his church, our worship is biblical in content, historic in form, reverent in tone, and joyful in its response to the gospel. We come before the Father, through the Son, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
